For Sale Barn
We are breeding in November, December, and January this year. The first kids are expected around April 26th, and the last in mid-June.
We do have a waiting list and those folks will get to pick first. Send an e-mail (schleye@outlook.com).
We You are welcome to come visit our farm at that time or can pick from pictures we will post.
Once you have picked out a kid we require a non-refundable deposit to hold your kid until they are weaned and ready to go to their forever homes. We believe in allowing our kids to nurse from their mothers until they are weaned.
We wean our kids at 8 weeks and they will be ready to go to their new homes when they are 9 weeks.
When starting your herd, an experienced mentor is essential. We were so fortunate to learn everything we know from Deb Bittrolff, including this website. Unfortunately, she has retired from dairy goats, but I am happy to continue the tradition she taught me by supporting those who purchase goats from us.
Purple Mountain Minis maintains excellent milk lines and has kids as well. Please check them out at Purple Mountain Minis
We reserve the right to retain any animal of our choosing for our own breeding program.
Our Health Guarantee: We sell goats that are healthy at the time they leave our farm. We cannot be held accountable for any illness or injury that may occur after the
animal has left our property. We are not able to control their environment or nutrition once they are out of our care. We are happy to try and assist you with any
problems which may arise, please do not hesitate to contact us. We guarantee our goats are free of CAE, CL and Johnes, but you
must test for this within one week of them arriving at your home/farm. You may have a full veterinary examination, at your expense, prior to their
leaving our care.
Kids with horns will be disbudded by our Vet. They will be given their CDT shot and tattoo prior to leaving
our care. It is recommended that you take the kid/goat to your own vet within 48 hours of delivery and have your vet
certify the health of your new goat.
We reserve the right to refuse to sell an animal at our discretion if we
are not confident in the abiltiy of the Buyer to adequately care for the animal.
Deposits are non-refundable unless the animal should be injured, become ill, or die, before the date of purchase.
In the rare case of that happening all moneys paid towards the purchase price will
be refunded or can be transferred to another goat that is available.
We require a salescontract with the purchase of our goats. You can see a copy here.
